Homeless feeding in Gqeberha

Before the epidemic, Love Story fed up to 300 homeless people five times a week in Gqeberha, South Africa (October 7, 2021). After beginning in 2012, they launched a number of initiatives to help those in need, including this one.

The organization focuses on several community projects while operating in and around Port Elizabeth. Soup dinners, crèche assistance, clothes and toy distribution, and hospital supplies are some of these.

Elaine Watson, the originator, leveraged her connections to boost support when COVID-19 started. This made it possible for the organization to keep feeding thousands of people.

They modified their operations to comply with lockdown regulations. They also launched the Love Sandwich campaign at this period. Through this program, they brought food to schools so kids could receive sandwiches.
